London Referral Group Rules

The Small Print

A) A member may request a leave of absence at the discretion of the executive. Example - illness or annual vacation. B) Members will strive to provide information or a referral to other members to enable business growth to occur. C) It is recognized that business and personal demands can result in a member being unable to attend some meetings. However, members who miss three meetings in a row without either a stand-in or prior notification, will be contacted by the membership committee. D) Membership renewal is not automatic. Each renewal will be considered individually taking into consideration referrals and attendance. If members fail to have their business represented, either in person or by a stand-in, more than 5 times in any one year could have their membership renewal denied. E) Services that are an integral part of a member’s business must be promoted. F) No multi-level sales approach or marketing allowed by members. G) A member cannot belong to another group that affects the referral process that might be in conflict with London Refferal Group. Note: The Rotary Club and / or The Chamber of Commerce are NOT considered such groups. H) The Executive Committe have the right to alter these rules annually. Any decisions made by the Executive Committee are final.

Guests who would like to join may attend two meetings on the basis that their profession has no conflict with an existing member. Should they wish to join the group, a completed application accompanied by a cheque which includes one year membership fee of $100.00 + necessary taxes must be presented at the end of the second meeting. This shows the existing members commitment to join. Applicants will not be allowed to attend any additional meetings until a decision is made. The members of the executive will review the application. If the application is accepted the membership committee will contact the applicant and welcome him / her to the London Referral Group. The cheque will then be cashed if the applicant confirms acceptance in writing. The cheque will be returned if the applicant decides not to proceed or the application is rejected.
