Junior Achievement is an international not-for-profit organization that brings together business leaders, educators, parents and the community to help prepare youth for their future.
Horace A. Moses, Chairman of Strathmore Paper in Springfield, Massachusetts, founded the organization in 1919 when he recognized the need for practical economic education among city students. Since that time, Junior Achievement has expanded around the globe, enhancing the employability, life and entrepreneurial skills of more than 4.1 million students in 103 countries.
